A short walk from the car takes us to this secluded waterfall

right in the middle of a rocky gorge

from there we gain hight quickly

and stop for a picnic at 2100m, 7000ft

by foot we can go even higher to some pre summits with spectacular views!

the track gets rougher as we proceed

Up to the white villages,

stop for a coffee and a stroll

Go beyond, on foot or by 4×4

walking along the ancient acequias (irrigation channels)

mountain streams everywhere!

get close to the main peaks of the Sierra

and drop by a spectacular waterfall on the way back down

High forestry tracks at the border of the National park, view points, Buddhist Monastery (see trips 2,3 and 7 of private charter, or Ride&Hike Trip 1)

As we climb beyond the last village..

the views open up..

..and the surroundings get lusher

we stop for a picnic in a meadow of flowers

and the scenery just keeps changing

a nice walk following one of the ancient irrigation channles

views to the high peaks..

..their image reflected in one of the local lagonas

Higher we go..

Horses are left to roam free up here
